Renée Fleming in Washington, D.C.with ROBERT AINSLEY, piano
Live: Saturday, August 1 at 1 PM ET
The great American diva performs live in an intimate and iconic American venue: the music room of Dumbarton Oaks. The historic estate in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., has hosted many noteworthy musical events over the years—including world premieres of compositions by Stravinsky and Copland, and this landmark recital adds another meaningful chapter to that legacy. The program shows off Fleming’s wide repertoire, from favorite arias by Puccini and Massenet to lesser-known selections by Handel and Korngold, as well as a new work by John Corigliano and even the beloved “Over the Rainbow.”
